Hardbacks are Here!

The day is here. We have all of the books in hand. All the Softcovers. All the Hardbacks. It is now time to begin fulfillment. Today. Monday, November 17th Jeff Jones, Fulfillment Director and Champion of Shipping, will begin packaging and sending out everyone's pledges from RPG Ramblings Headquarters.  We are so close to delivering on our goal to ship before Thanksgiving. Feeling like a workflow and logistics champion today and it 100% has to do with the awesome team around me. People like Jeffrey Jones, Zac Goins, Wayne Brekke, Laurie Brekke, Uriah Groves, DeWayne Rogers, Matt Morrow, Mazrak, Andrew Beckwith, and countless others who helped make this project a reality. Thank you. You rock. (Oh and you reading this. You too!)

What does this mean for you?

We will be locking addresses in Backerkit soon so we can begin sending the physical pledges to your residence or place where you decide you want them to arrive. Please make sure all of your address information is correct. If you filled out your Pledge Manager and verified your address already, you're good to go! All you need to do is sit back and wait for your books to arrive. If you haven't checked your address and filled out your pledge manager, well you're late to the game, but there's still some time! (There's actually 30 people left that haven't finished filling theirs out. Crazy right?!) If you're a digital backer. You already have your PDFs and things are wonderful! Shadow Crawler Carnage!

Our new Sci-Fi Kickstarter is live, and we're off to a great start. We have hit our funding goal of $4,000. It would be awesome to hit our stretch goals and begin planning on getting our Legendary writers included in the zines! Just check out those awesome third party creators we have making adventures for the zine! Woah! If you're looking at picking up Darkspace RPG to play Sci-Fi games using Shadowdark RPG rules, this adventure zine will be a great way to play Darkspace with a fun theme and twist.

You can play as a wizard who carries an uzi, or a futuristic holy warrior cleric wielding a laser sword. Or you can even play as an animal! We have all sorts of new and cool Archetypes developed for Shadow Crawler Carnage and we can't wait to share this awesome new RPG zine with all of you. Softcovers are in the house!

That's right party people. Our fulfillment center has the softcovers, and the hardcovers ship to the fulfillment center on the 12th. So that means we're really close to the best part of the Kickstarter. The part where we ship you all your stuff! More information on that coming soon. But for now I wanted to send over some announcements of galactic proportions!

We now have a DISCORD!

Yes that's right. The Crawl Club Publishing discord is now established and we're already a budding community of content creators, gamers, and artists. If you join you automatically become a "cool person" and will be awarded this title. Also, if we hit 100 members before the next Kickstarter launches I'll be giving away several free Righteous Vow t-shirts to discord members (shipped to your house!) Crawl Club Publishing goes Sci-Fi!

We're premiering our new zine called Shadow Crawler Carnage on 11/11/25. (That's next Tuesday!) It will be released as a third party module written for the new Darkspace RPG also being kickstarted the same day! So if you decide you want to get the new Darkspace RPG rules, you should definitely try out our really fun sci-fi mod which will bring you hours of zany space adventures! We would be honored to have you join us for this next foray into Shadowdark writing and artwork. We have some pretty amazing artists too. And all the artwork is going to be exclusive to this new zine!

You're Going to Need This. It's Dangerous in Space!

Before you can dive into Shadow Crawler Carnage, you're going to want to pick up the brand new rules for Darkspace RPG! Than and Derek have been hard at work on this next featuring a fully fleshed out sci-fi RPG ruleset written on the chassis of the Shadowdark RPG rules. I cannot recommend this set of rules highly enough, and the hardcover is going to have a GLOW IN THE DARK LOGO! (Come on? Seriously?! That's awesome!)

We're on a Collision Course with DarkSpace RPG!

You're going to want to also check out this super cool third party Kickstarter starting up the same day as DarkSpace RPG and Shadow Crawler Carnage. It's Book Printing Time

Tomorrow is the day. Books start printing at our printers which means we're on schedule for a November delivery to our backers. I'm going to try and get some photos of the books being printed so I can send them out to you all once it happens. It's exciting, I'm excited. Feels good!

This is a big deal please read this!
If you haven't yet filled out your Survey on Backerkit we cannot deliver your books! Please be sure to get those filled out so we can charge any shipping if applicable and get your books delivered. Also if you're a digital backer we can't send your PDFs until you fill out the survey. You will receive your PDFs once your survey is completed. If you lost your survey you can retrieve your survey here.

Just a shorter update today. I really appreciate everyone who has been so encouraging over the past months getting this first Kickstarter fulfilled. We hope you are all enjoying your new adventures with the digital release sent out. The physical books are being printed now just for you and will be in your hands before Thanksgiving. Stay tuned!

Digital Rewards Are Being Delivered NOW!

It's a big day. Digital PDF day! For those of you who have finished your surveys on Backerkit, you will start to see your cards being charged and your PDFs being delivered to your inboxes.

I want to keep things short because I want you all to be reading Righteous Vow and not a lengthy email. So. Enjoy everybody! The new adventures await you! We couldn't be more excited to deliver Righteous Vow Volume 3: The Mountain Dragon's Brood to your bookshelves and tables. Printing begins in October for physical backers. And the books will be on their way to your homes by November.

75% of Surveys are Complete on Backerkit! We're close to PDF Release Day!

Thanks to You Crawl Club!

We just hit 75% of Pledge Manager surveys completed on Backerkit. So that's great news. (If you lost your pledge manager link, get it resent to you HERE.) We're also just about ready to release PDFs which will be most excellent.

We're so excited to get these new books out to you. The PDFs will be out in less than a week. And we're just about ready to start printing too. We have uploaded all of the files for RV1, RV2, and Nazulgrath to the printers. We're just doing a few more minor tweaks to RV3 and then it'll be uploaded soon. And we can re-upload new versions just in case we get a revision after the PDFs drop. So we're stoked to get printing. Offset prints will be pressed on October 15th! It's almost time for physical Righteous Vow printed by us, for you!

International Shipping Has Been a Learning Experience

I take ownership of the fact that I didn't get things completely right this time. Prices to ship everywhere have gone up. And in some cases we see international shipping rates of $50+ in the EU to even $100+ to places like Australia on our bundles. It's a bummer for us too. We didn't think that 4-5 lbs. of books and art prints would cost that much to ship. But it really does. And we agree it can get to be a lot.

But along with taking ownership also comes doing the right thing. And that's why I have responded to every single international backer who has contacted me to personally see that they can either adjust their pledges to accommodate their needs, or receive a refund. I want to do the right thing always. And I would rather have someone get some digital PDFs for now, or wait until we have a better solution than have to pay more than the books for their shipping.  For those of you who went ahead and purchased the books even with the higher shipping prices, thank you and we appreciate you. But for those who can't make that happen. We understand. And we want to provide you with the best possible outcome.

In future Kickstarters we will be exploring and implementing a POD option for overseas backers. This way we can offer all future Crawl Club Publishing books without causing an international shipping headache for anyone. 

As always. Thank you for all of your awesome responses and patience with us as we navigate this Kickstarter landscape. We're making some small mistakes along the way, but the future looks bright and we're excited for what will come next.

What's Next for Crawl Club Publishing?

Well. I'm glad you asked! (Well...you didn't really. But I'm going to hope you'd want to know anyway). We are hard at work on three new projects right now. And here they are!

1. Shadow Crawler Carnage - An Alien Abduction adventure that hints at elements of all of your favorite LitRPG books, with references/influences from movies, nostalgic 80's media, and video games. Blend fantasy, sci-fi, and modern day technology together to create a wild and zany gameshow style rules light experience. Available in December to be released alongside the new DarkSpace RPG complete rules. This adventure will be compatible with Shadowdark RPG and Darkspace RPG. (And yes. You can play as an animal.)

1. Righteous Vow: Volume 4 - About 60% written. This will be the next installment for Righteous Vow coming in 2026. Expect something wildly different and fun set in the world of..[yet to be named fantasy world].  :)
2. A new project that will be revealed  - A hint about this project will be a free adventure that will be given away as part of the mailing list for the holidays. (which means if you're reading this, you'll already receive a copy. Woohoo!) So get ready for that.

FLGS Support! (Yes we want to work with your local gaming store and get Righteous Vow where you live!)

Do you know of a local game store that would love to have Righteous Vow along side their Shadowdark RPG and OSR products? If so, please do have them contact us at [email protected] and we will send over our retail only pricing for them. As gamers ourselves many of us wouldn't be here without the awesome mom and pop stores out there making kids' dreams come true with awesome games to play. And now that we're all big kids making content we want to support them like they did for us. So please, do ask if you have a store or want to get your books in your local shop. We'd love to get them on your shelves!
